Not sure what happened to Hong Kong One but it's significantly changed since I was here last. This used to be one of my top 3 Chinese restaurants in Rochester, but now I can't say I would come back anytime soon. The rice tasted like a premade Uncle Ben's rice not like the traditional Chinese rice. My wife took one bite and didn't want the rest. The service was good, the cashier was friendly, and you can't beat the rooftop at I-square on a beautiful night, but unfortunately we won't be going back for Chinese food. Disappointed.

Lo mein was overcooked, with mushy noodles and tough shrimp. The noodles are so soft, you can see (pic) that just trying to serve some up makes them fall apart. No enjoying long noodles here! Utter mush. Very bland, both the chicken and shrimp versions. Spring rolls had some potential flavor-wise, but were heavy handed on the ginger and SOGGY with oil. None of it was worth even remotely close to the cost. We only ordered from here because we also got food from another place in I-square, and is fortunately much better, but this is the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had.

This used to be our favorite Chinese restaurant but it's under new ownership & the past 2 times we've been there the food has obviously been pre-made and kept in a warmer. It comes out almost before we have a chance to sit down, it's not piping hot like it used to/should be, and the meat is "hard", as if it's been sitting around. Such a shame because this used to be our go-to place

Service on the phone is outstanding- lovely, friendly people. I especially appreciate the young adults who usually take orders. They are kind, efficient, & their English is easy to understand. The food meets standards β€” what you expect from American Chinese. I usually order Sesame Chicken or Sesame Tofu, which they are happy to accommodate to my spice preference (spicy). I’m very grateful to have this place in Irondequoit! Note: As of March 2026, they NOW have delivery service.

We've tried this a few times and it has never met expectations. Always drowning in sauce and can't tell what's wrong with the meat... but both the pork and beef is what I imagine the consistency of worms would be...
